Circular path through the pine forest
It doesn't always have to be a summit - the newly constructed stone pine trail at Speikboden is built up as a circular route, and leads through idyllic forests at over 2000m.
The cable car brings you up to Speikboden. The first part of the path runs comfortably up to the chairlift Sonnklar and directly passing the children's zoo. There you will find a planing station, which thematically sets the mood for the circular hike through the old stone pine forest.
Along the route on the wide hiking trail, several eye-catchers await the guests: A child`s figure from Ahrntal valley, which is saved from oblivion, stimulates everybody's fantasy.
After about 100 meters of ascent, you reach the viewpoint Hühnerspiel, which promises a magnificent view of the Ahrntal valley. Going on a short descent, you will reach the mountain lake Trejer, where a footbridge circles the water. The hut Trejer is five minutes away and invites you to stop for a bite to eat: Anyone who loves South Tyrolean cuisine is in the right place. A forest road brings you back to the mountain station. The cozy hut is also accessible via the forest path even with a baby buggy.
